Keira's 1 year pictures

This is my very favorite picture. Her eyes just grab you. I love all the little fat rolls you can see too. Since she started walking, she's lost some of that.

We did family pictures with Jami Broadbent (jbroadbentphoto.com) and she took Keira's 1 year pictures at the same time. She is great at capturing my children just perfectly! These were just a few of my favorites of the princess. Enjoy!
I loved this picture because she looks like she's turning her nose up at us. I love this vintage coke stand and the picture turned out great

This was the second to last shot that Jami took. Keira had had enough smiling and pictures for the day and I pulled her in for a kiss and hug. I love that she caught this moment between us.

The Princess turns ONE!

I had so much fun planning my little girls birthday party. I went with a butterflies and dragonflies theme. Her invitations were my favorite ones so far. I took mason jars and mod podged yellow paper around it and had dragonfly and butterfly cutouts around it. I placed tea lights in the bottom and then attached the info on a card with a ribbon. My mom saved me and had enough jars that I didn't have to buy any. Then Travis scratched off all the paper and glue that didn't come off when we soaked them. What a great hubby I have, even though he thinks I make way too big a deal of parties he always helps me out when I'm in a bind. Boys are all about Trucks, video games, and transformers. With Keira I get to let my girly side shine :). We had a BBQ at my in-laws and the kids got to play outside. I didn't plan a lot of activities because Keira wasn't old enough to really do anything. She had a lot of fun opening presents. Baby dolls, tea sets, fancy Nancy books, and cute little girl clothes and accessories. After all the fun of trying to get Keira to rip paper we watched her make a mess of her cupcake. After Alex's 1st birthday I decided that they would never get a whole cake again. . . way to big of a mess. Here is to many more girly birthdays to come.

Waterfalls and Birthdays

We had Memorial Day weekend off and so for my birthday we hiked to Stewart falls. We had so much fun and the boys did so well. They hiked the entire way and most of the time they wanted to be right in front. We did have to take a few little rests just so the boys could eat their treats and have a drink. I think that was the best part for them. I carried Keira the whole way up to the falls and then part of the way back. The falls were beautiful even with the monkey in the pic. The best part of the day for me were the pictures I got of Travis carrying Keira. PRICELESS!!

1st Grade Sports day and Preschool Graduation

Austin's sports day and Alex's preschool graduation fell on the same day. I was helping my sister in law set up for the graduation so when the 1st graders made it to Nolan park I just snuck out for a few minutes to see Austin in action. They had lots of stations and the kids had a blast. Alex's 3 year old preschool graduation was Hawaiian themed. The kids looked so cute in their little grass skirts and holding their fire sticks. Alex was very proud to show off his certificate.

Austin's 7th Birthday

This was the first time I didn't have a "theme" as Travis says. He doesn't think parties need that much planning. . . Anyone who knows me, know how much I love to plan my kids' birthday parties. So, it turned into an outdoor/transformer birthday. They played several games the first one they had to carry a water balloon across the finish line. They had to put it between their knees and couldn't touch it. It was hilarious to watch! It wasn't as warm as it could of been but the kids had a lot of fun outside playing. After playing games Austin got to open his presents. He was spoiled by his family and had a lot of fun. All the kids got to decorate their own cupcakes. We had a few different icings and tons of sprinkles.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so much fun. Travis woke up and made breakfast for me. The boys came up to our room about 10 times telling me I couldn't come down yet. Then they started bringing me presents. Cards they had made, reeses peanut butter cups (my fav) and a card from Travis. After breakfast Travis offered to teach my class that day. I teach the sunbeam class with another lady in my ward and it was my turn to teach. Travis looked over the lesson and said he would go ahead and teach. So, when we got to church I told the other teacher she could go to Sunday School and Relief Society and I'd stay with my hubby. It was so funny to watch him try and teach the lesson with 4 and 5 year olds telling him every few seconds they were hungry, or needed to go to the bathroom, or they needed a drink. He did good though, he got through the lesson before class ended and even made cookies for the kids as a treat. Right after church we went and visited families. First to Trav's parents house and then to mine. I love and hate holidays, it so much fun to see everyone but it's such a busy hectic day. After visiting with Trav's family we went over to my parents house and got to talk to Kevin. He got to talk for a really long time, it was great! I can't believe we get to talk to him in another 6 months. This year is just flying by. So, for Mother's Day, Travis gave me money to go and get my hair done. I called Kathryn as soon as I could and made an appointment. It had been a year since I'd done anything with my hair. It need some TLC in a bad way. It looks amazing now, I love when I cut it short and it takes me half the time to get ready!!!
