Keira Michelle Gray arrived on July 2, 2009. She was born at 3:10 pm weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 18 inches long. The hospital called us about 10:00 am and asked if we could be there at 11:15. We were already on our way in so we dropped the boys off at Grandma Gray's and headed over. They started inducing at 12:00 and just three short hours later we had a baby girl. I have to say I do prefer 3 hour labor to 11 or 22 hour labor!! We called the fam and Carol brought the boys over. Travis went and got Austin and Alex so they could be the first to see their little sister. They couldn't wait to hold her. After the boys spent some time with us we let the rest of the family in to see her. Then they whisked her away to the nursery for a little bit and she came back with two little bows in her hair and smelling good. That night Travis went and got Cafe Rio for me, it was delicious!!! That night went pretty good. Keira woke up about every three hours to eat and be changed and has continued that at home. Friday we had a few more visitors and just hung out at the hospital. About 2:00 they asked if I wanted to stay another night or if I wanted to go home. I was feeling good, so I said I wanted to go home. They had to do a hearing test and some other things with Keira so we didn't leave the hospital until 8:00. We picked up the boys stopped at Walgreens to pick up my prescription and then came home. Saturday Trav's mom came over and Trav took the boys fishing with his dad. After they came home we all got ready and went to Lindsey's house for a BBQ. We ate and the boys played in the water and we set off fireworks. Sunday still feeling good we decided to go to church. Keira looked so cute in her little dress. The dress fit her but the diaper cover went clear up to her armpits!! I guess only the dress was preemie. My mom bought the dress for her along with a pair of booties and a bracelet. The booties and the bracelet were too big, they fell right off her. Oh well, she still looked super cute. It's so much much fun dressing her up every day. We love having her in our family.
Travis and I have been married almost 7 years. Our two boys Austin (6) and Alex (3) keep us very busy. Travis works for Rocky Mountain Enterprises and I work for Macy's. We love camping, fishing, golfing, and hanging out with the fam. That's what WE love to do together. I love buying shoes and handbags, scrapbooking, and reading. We (Travis really is excited he just won't tell people that) are very excited for our little girl to get here. I can not wait to have pink in my house and buy little girl things. It will be fantastic!!!
